Policies
1. Custom Orders & Made-to-Order Pieces
All garments are handmade with care and attention to detail. Each design is created specifically for you based on your chosen fabrics, measurements, and style preferences. Because of the bespoke nature of our work, production times may vary depending on design complexity and current order volume.
- Standard production time: 4–8 weeks from deposit date.
- Rush orders (under 4 weeks) are available for an additional fee and must be approved before payment.
2. Consultations & Design Approval
A design consultation (virtual or in-person) is required for all custom orders. During this consultation, we’ll discuss fabrics, design details, and pricing.
- Clients will receive a digital sketch or design confirmation before production begins.
- No changes can be made once production has started.
3. Deposits & Payments
To begin any custom order, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required.
- The remaining balance is due upon completion and before delivery or pickup.
- Payments may be made via approved payment methods listed on your invoice.
- Orders will not enter production without a deposit.
4. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Because each piece is made specifically for you, Marie Janae Designs does not accept returns, refunds, or exchangesunder any circumstance.
- Please review all measurements, fabrics, and design details carefully before confirming your order.
- If a fit adjustment is required, alteration services are available (see section below).
5. Alterations & Adjustments
Alterations for custom pieces are available at an additional charge unless a clear error was made by Marie Janae Designs.
- Clients must schedule an alteration appointment within 7 days of pickup or delivery.
- Alterations requested after that timeframe may be subject to new service fees.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Marie Janae Designs ships nationwide.
- All orders are shipped via insured carriers. Tracking details will be provided once your order ships.
- Marie Janae Designs is not responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed packages once shipped.
- Local pickup is available by appointment only.
7. Cancellations
Custom orders cannot be canceled once the deposit is paid and materials have been purchased.
- If a cancellation is requested before production begins, the deposit remains non-refundable.
8. Fabric & Material Selection
All fabrics are subject to availability. In the event a selected fabric becomes unavailable, an equivalent option will be provided for approval before proceeding.
9. Care Instructions
To preserve the quality of your custom garment, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended.
Marie Janae Designs is not responsible for damage resulting from improper care or cleaning.
10. Brand Integrity
Every Marie Janae Designs garment is a reflection of our craftsmanship and creativity. Please refrain from replicating, reselling, or altering designs for reproduction purposes without written permission.
